Richard Geifman, representing the third generation of the family business, has been ingrained in its operations since childhood. His journey began at the age of 5, accompanying his father and grandfather to the family store at 119 E. 3rd Street in downtown Davenport. There, he started his work by sweeping floors and engaging with customers. After lunch, he would enjoy a treat, a Three Musketeers candy bar and a quarter to watch a double feature at the nearby RKO Orpheum Theater.

Upon graduating from Bradley University in Peoria in 1964, Richard underwent comprehensive training across all departments of the business. Over time, he assumed leadership, eventually transforming the food business into a thriving real estate enterprise. Now, as the fourth generation—Dave, Jeff, and Steve—continues the family legacy, Richard has retired, residing in Florida.

Throughout his career and beyond, Richard has been actively involved in various organizations, including serving on the Tri-City Jewish Center Board and as its President. He has also contributed to the Hebrew Cemetery Association Endowment Fund, the Jewish Federation, and Northwest Bank and Trust.
